Buckshot Teak (A)

Buckshot is a top full grain aniline on English Bull hides. It is processed through a series of finishing operations with wax and oil to provide a truly unique feel and pull up. The final embossing is intended to resemble "wormy chestnut" wood or a randomly pitted, buckshot effect and is done under extreme pressure that also adds polish to the finish. Extreme color variations - especially due to the pull-up effect as the added waxes and oils spread over areas that receive extra pressure and pull during upholstery.  Waxes and oils will also accentuate natural markings on each hide and are intended to burnish with wear.  Very light sun and stain protection provided by the wax and oil.
